NHL hockey players sure know how to whip up a delicious sub and because of Harris Teeter; shoppers just like you can try it for yourself! Once again, Harris Teeter and Red Moon are working together with the Carolina Hurricanes and the three chosen Hurricanes players to design their own unique sub to be sold at Harris Teeter stores in the Raleigh/Durham area. Just like in the past, Moonies have met with players varying from the Carolina Panthers to the Washington Redskins, to ask the very important question to these big eaters: What ingredients goes into your perfect sub? Just like in typical Red Moon style, the opportunity to have players design a sandwich is helping to brand subs as well as seeing how creative can we be.
The first Hurricanes player, right wing Anthony Stewart created “Stew’s Lucky 13” a sandwich that would make most mouths water: Black Forest Turkey, Virginia Ham, Genoa Salami, Swiss cheese, lettuce, mayonnaise and mustard on wheat bread…Hungry yet?
Next player off the bench: Brian Boucher, #33. Keep your eye out for this one, who knows, you and a Hurricanes player might share something in common when it comes to sub making.
