The Coca-Cola Recycle and Win program expands to South Carolina for a six month recycling initiative where $15,000 in BI-LO gift cards will be distributed to residents. Participating areas include the city of Columbia, Blythewood, West Columbia, Lexington, Cayce and Springdale; as well as, the counties of Lexington and Richland County. If your recycling is collected by any of the participating areas, you are eligible to win!
The prize patrol vehicle began patrolling neighborhoods on November 7th looking for the Coca-Cola “Give it Back” sticker on curbside recycling bins. The sticker was sent to curbside recycling residents as an opt-in to the “Recycle and Win” program. The mailer explains the DO and DO NOT recycling rules for the area in which you live.
The DO and DO NOT list is important because some items are collectable at the curb but others should be taken to the Richland County or Lexington County drop off centers for collection. For residents who visit the collection centers, recycling events will be held at the centers between November 2011 and April 2012. A separate mailer was sent to every resident in Richland and Lexington County explaining the wide variety of items that you can take to a recycling collection center.
Red Moon will be running the prize patrol and activating the recycling events for the “Recycle and Win” program.
