In fall of 2015, Coke Zero teamed up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to create the ultimate tailgate experience. This unique destination was intended to be like nothing the fans had seen before. Refreshing ice cold Coke Zero sampling, a unique photo booth, the Coke Zero Gridiron Challenge, and the introduction of the “Captain’s Cruiser” made this the place to be at every Bucs home game.
The primary objective was to refresh football fans, while promoting the real Coca-Cola taste of Coke Zero with no calories, sugar or carbs. Fans either found their way to the Coke Zero VIP location in the main plaza of Raymond James Stadium, or were surprised with the Captains Cruiser and Coke Zero at their tailgates.
This massive Coke Zero VIP setup included the chance to sample the delicious beverage, get your picture taken in the photo booth, exchange prizes for social media posts, and win big at the Coke Zero Gridiron Challenge. When fans made their way to the main plaza entrance, they knew they would be treated to a plethora of Buccaneer and Coke Zero goodies. Prizes included tote bag, hand towels, shirts, and Buccaneer koozies.
Fans that were tailgating were given the same opportunity to try Coke Zero with the help of the “Captain’s Cruiser.” The “Captain’s Cruiser” is a utility vehicle retrofitted into a Buccaneer’s pirate ship and used as the main base for mobile sampling throughout the tailgate lots. Many fans took this opportunity to snag a picture with the “Captain’s Cruiser” and check out the treasure on board. Fans that posted to social media holding our #BucsNCokeZero sign were given special doubloons to cash in at the main plaza location.
Along with all of the Buccaneers home games at Raymond James Stadium, Coke Zero team was present at two special events; the Bucs Siege the Stadium RED Women’s event and the Bucs/Ford Famous Jameis’ Jamboree. This gave Tampa natives another opportunity to hang with the Coke Zero team.
Check us out in 2016 for the all new and improved Coke Zero Ultimate Tailgate Experience.
