Position: Associate Director, Programmatic and Digital
Job Description:
Associate Directors guide, mentor, teach, and support a team of digital and programmatic practitioners while bringing successful programmatic and digital campaigns to life across clients. They oversee tactical development, campaign activation, pacing, and optimizations, and contribute to reporting and client communication. The AD is responsible for reviewing client deliverables to ensure quality output.
The AD is accountable for monitoring campaign performance, proactively ensuring optimization, and implementing any course corrections needed to deliver against campaign goals. They oversee QA and operational “best practices” while providing continuous training and mentorship to direct reports. Beyond day-to-day team deliverables, they foster knowledge-sharing and support Directors with central tasks which are key to cultivating a culture of teamwork and collaboration. This person will report to the VP of Marketing and should be close to the Charlotte office to go in about once a week.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead quarterly tactical plans that focus on account and audience strategy.
Accountable for daily team operations and campaign excellence, ensuring best practices are evident in the work of the activation/investment team.
Drive continuous improvement by leveraging analytics, testing frameworks, and innovations, highlighting client value in results, and sharing across the client team.
Able to speak to data outputs, optimizations, review account performance, and address concerns when needed.
Collaborate with partners to negotiate rates and deliver best-in-class media solutions.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, technology partners, and vendors to ensure seamless campaign delivery and digital activation.
Effective team management and communication, focusing on leading, delegating, and prioritizing team deliverables, fostering individual growth across the team.
Ensure the team follows a defined process for campaign management across digital and programmatic channels, including excellent “hands-on-keyboard” activation work.
Communicates frequently with agency leads on team performance, campaign health, and strategic growth opportunities.
Serve as a positive and motivating influence within the team and broader agency, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Frequent contributor to thought leadership projects, POVs, or other shareable collateral across digital and programmatic investment teams.
Constantly staying current on the latest Red Moon activation and internal tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in the programmatic and digital industry – Retail experience highly recommended.
In-depth knowledge of Direct media (e.g., publisher relationships, custom activations) and Programmatic platforms e.g., The Trade Desk, Google Ads, & Meta is a must.
Strong experience across all digital media channels and ability to eloquently speak to each.
